In order to track products I’ve tried and ingredients that work (and don’t) for me, I’ll be tracking all the beauty products I’ve tried here. They’re grouped into different categories (Hair, Skincare, Makeup) and subcategories (serums, moisturizers, shampoos) and into 3 result groups (It Worked, Meh, and Stay Away). I’ll also include dates of use and notes about any reactions where possible.

This year I didn’t read anywhere near as many books as I did in 2017, but maybe that’s because I didn’t listen to as many books this year. I generally have an hour-and-a-half commute to-and-from work each day, which means I can easily get through a 6-8 disc (yes ur gurl still listens to old school CDs) audiobook in one week, but something about this year just made me want to listen to more music than books. Regardless, I did discover a lot of new favorite reads, most of which were not released in 2018. Because of this, I reserved one spot at the end of my top ten for a pick from a previous year.
This has been such a bizarre year in so many ways, and a lot of these albums reflect the craziness, but also the need to take a step back to keep yourself together when you often can’t. For that reason this list could also be titled “Albums I sobbed along to like a baby in 2017.” When I think of the best albums in any given year, I always think of two things: 1. the best albums with continuity and flow throughout the entire album (or an album that has a cyclical nature to it) and 2. an album composed of consistently solid, beautifully crafted tracks. I tend to lean more towards the first option as the second can sometimes just feel like a bunch of singles thrown together – something that I’m pretty meh about.
